Our legal team is headed up by Partner James Limburn. Danos Associates acquired Gibson Limburn in 2016 to enhance our exclusive offering to financial services firms with a network of specialist legal professionals. As the traditional delineations between legal, risk and compliance departments are becoming more blended, the needs of firms are becoming more specific and in greater demand, rendering talent harder to find.
James qualified as a Barrister in 2000 and commenced his career in financial services legal recruitment. He became Head of Banking Legal Recruitment before establishing an independent legal recruitment business Gibson Limburn Search. James then joined Danos Associates in 2017 as Head of Legal Practice to establish Danos’ legal recruitment function and became partner in February 2018.
He has enjoyed a high degree of success placing candidates at all levels from NQ to General Counsel with major international banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, fund managers, insurers, family offices and other financials.
Our private practice legal team was established in 2018 by Charlotte Brooks, a senior headhunter with over 12 years’ experience in the global private practice market, having worked on cross-border mandates in various international locations.
The team specialises in senior/partner level mandates and team moves into the premium City law firms and has an excellent track record in both retained search and contingent work across a broad range of practice areas. We pride ourselves on our outstanding relationships and our fundamental objective is that of retaining an excellent market reputation in both client and candidate care.
